I made this tutorial for a co worker today, so I figured i might share it with the internet in hopes it helps any one that might struggle with painting electricity. This is the method I use, it may not be scientifically accurate but I am pretty happy with the results. More step by steps to come soon!

Incredible Bird Feather Sculptures By
Widely-renowned British artist Kate MccGwire uses an unusual medium – hundreds and hundreds of bird feathers – to create her unique sculptures. By meticulously layering the feathers side by side, she creates swirling, tactile and snake-like compositions that look disturbingly alien.
MccGwire was surrounded by nature since her early childhood, connecting her to natural forces and animals throughout her life, which even now impacts her creative choices.

3/100 - The Core
The 3rd piece of my 100 piece project I’ve called The Core. The interesting thing about the renders I’ve made so far is that I’ve tried to make them fit perfectly in the environment and
the way I’ve tried to do that is to make the scene completely devoid of
lights. All of the light and reflections etc are all coming from the
environment ( a HDRI map) so with no other lights interfering it tends
to look very lifelike very quickly.
CONTROL SERIES - recap
I have always had a desire to be in control. The ability to control my emotions, my surrounding environment, even the actions of others will remain forever elusive. Even though I realize the idea of control is an illusion, I still fight back in an effort to assert my will. Natural forces have ultimate control and cannot be overpowered in the end. This series was inspired by the illusion of control.
